A Three-Year Look at Commodities: Digesting the Markdown Phase (21 Charts)

Despite the recent spikes we’ve had in grains, the commodities space is still “digesting their markdown phases”. What comes next is the accumulation phase, but that might take a while. I wish I could say that ALL commodities are in ONE stage, but they’re not. They’re mixed. One thing that is for certain is that the precious metals are outperforming the agricultural commodities on a three-year time line.
Note the very large year long consolidation ranges in several of the commodities. They could set up to be longer-term positional plays.
